Basics Drills and Contests

Basketball really comes down to putting the ball in the hoop and trying to stop your opponent from doing the same. If you make one more shot or point than the other team you win.

That is basic basketball, only if it were only so easy! We will cover some of the basic fundamental drills in the lesson, and discuss the basics of using drills. We will go over some different drills that you can use everyday in practice. We will break them down by individual, small group, position and team.

Included are some fun things to do in practice to make it competitive too.

There are probably over a thousand drills out there. You as a coach need to decide what is a drill that works for your team. Print off some court sheets to use to set up your drills and take notes. Acrobat reader required to print.
