This play, Inside Out, the inside or slot receiver will catch
a quick out pass. This play is run when teams blitz or when the
offense needs a couple of yard for the first down. The field is
spread out with four receivers and this allows for the
quarterback to throw to anyone that is open.
Quarterback #12 is in the Shotgun formation and gets the snap. He has five receivers in the pattern. Three of the receivers, x-y-z all go deep. The tight end #81 has lined up outside his normal place on the line. He runs up the field then out to the sideline. #12 reads the defense and see him open. # 81 catches the ball for a short gain.
