Quarterback Draw
This play, Quarterback Draw, is designed for the quarter back run the ball up the middle of the field. A draw play gets the defense up the field and opens up the middle for the back to run. All the receivers run deep pass patterns to draw the defense deep down field. The defense sometimes over runs the play and the quarterback scrambles up the field.
Players like Kordel Stewart of the Pittsburgs Steelers and John Elway of the Denver Broncos are good at this play.
QB Draw
The quarterback #7 will to the snap in the shotgun formation and fake a pass and run the ball up the middle. Guard # 73 blocks the defensive end and the running back # 20 leads the way down field. The wide receivers block down field to help make this a big play. This play works when the defense is either blitzing on the play or expecting a pass.
